Turning tide
I painted this when I was visiting North Uist a few years ago. We were staying in a traditional 'Black house' which overlooked a Scottish Loch. The sea was just a few minutes walk away and we visited the ocean every day. On one occasion, the wind was so strong that I found myself walking backward! I managed to get a few photos to work from. I loved the raw isolation of the place and we've promised to go back someday.
